Cris Batiz is a winger for the Seattle Sounders, and he put on an all out performance at the 2026 Generation Adidas Cup. Batiz is apart of the U15 squad who was not coined to make a deep run in the tournament, but thanks to Batiz and help from his teammates, the Sounders were able to make a run all the way to the Generation adidas Cup final.
Batiz started his run in the round of 16 game against Bayern Munich where Seattle came in as heavy underdogs, but that did not matter to them. A Batiz brace later, and Seattle was on their way to the quarterfinals following a 4-0 victory over one of the most historic clubs I the world. Batiz's goals included a beautiful free kick that no keeper at the U15 age is getting to. The run continued against FC Cincinnati where he did not score but made a major impact on the game in other ways. The semifinals saw the Sounders take on LAFC where Batiz played a pivotal role in both goals. The second goal was once again off a free kick that he hit, and it left a wide open net for his teammate to finish.
