Cavan Sullivan Becomes Fourth Youngest Assister In MLS History

Cavan Sullivan came on in the 77th minute against Charlotte FC, and quickly became the fourth youngest to ever record an assist in Major League Soccer. A beautiful flick by the young attacking midfielder set up the striker perfectly to tie the match. Sullivan puts his name forth on the list behind USYNT teammate Julian Hall, USMNT baller Gianluca Busio, and Freddy Ada who notched his first MLS assist before his 15th birthday.

This comes after Sullivan had a stellar campaign with the USYNT this past window. He bagged three goals in just two outings for the USYNT. Its important to note as well that this was his first ever time in the squad for the USYNT U19s (2007 born age group), and this is the group that will be heading to the U20 World Cup next year. Sullivan was one of two 2009 born players on the roster, the other Mathis Albert. Albert bagged his first professional goal over the same weekend as well for Borussia Dortmund II. Albert is one of the youngest players involved with the squad, and he has already made the first team bench multiple times.
